Lip Blush – Frequently Asked Questions
How do you choose the right shade?
I always recommend starting with a "light tint" for a soft, natural, plumped effect — think of it like the perfect lipstick: your lips, but better. However, the final decision is completely yours. Each shade is custom-blended to complement your natural lip tone and achieve your desired look. During your consultation, we’ll work together to create the perfect bespoke shade just for you.
How long does it last?
Lip Blush can last up to two years before a colour boost is needed. The pigment will gradually fade over time depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. If you're not completely happy with the initial shade, we can adjust the colour at your top-up appointment after the healing process is complete (typically 5–10 days).
Is it painful?
A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure, and additional numbing is used throughout to ensure your comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a light tingling or stippling feeling. I always work gently and consistently to ensure you feel relaxed and at ease during the entire treatment.
How much does it cost?
As with any cosmetic procedure, you truly get what you pay for. I use only the highest-quality pigments, tools, and techniques — treating every client’s face as if it were my own. This isn’t a treatment to cut corners on. Ask yourself: would you trust a cheap tattoo artist with your face? The same principle applies here.
How long does the appointment take?
A typical Lip Blush session lasts around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the shape, size, and whether any correction or reshaping is required.
How long is the healing process?
Healing generally takes 5 to 10 days, though this varies from person to person. You’ll notice the colour go through several changes during this time before settling into the final shade you chose. It's important to follow the aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and results.
I provide a nourishing, all-natural, vegan aftercare balm to help soothe and hydrate your lips. Apply it regularly (ideally every hour with a clean cotton bud) to keep the lips moisturised, speed up healing, and leave a glossy finish.
