Melanin-Rich Lip Neutralisation

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips' natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It's designed to define and outline your lips, not to actually make them fuller. It gives the illusion that they're fuller, but in a very natural way. It's more or less like microblading for your lips

Melanin-rich skin, hyperpigmentation, injuries or skin disorders are all possible causes of darker lips or discolouration. Therefore, all lips come in all different colours, shapes and sizes, and every client requires a different colour theory and technique to reach the best outcome.

Permanent Makeup can be an excellent solution for achieving brighter, lighter, more even-toned lips, but unfortunately lip blush treatment isn’t suitable for all skin types.

Melanin-rich, hyperpigmented or darker lips may require an additional treatment before their treatment a Lip Neutralisation treatment is required first as any darker parts of the lips need to be camouflaged before an enhancing colour is implanted on the lips.

The technique uses a small needle and works softly on the lips to very gently implant the colour without creating too heavy of a lip-liner/border appearance. Colors are chosen for the client's desired results and skin tones, but my overall aim is to give lips life and a natural tint without being too dramatic. Pixelating the pigment with an ombre technique, slight opacity and sheerness creates a soft blush appearance.

Melanin Rich lips using Nurtralisation only. Results using a machine pixel method with camouflage technique to build up the colour within the lip.

How do you choose your shade?

I always suggest a "light tint" for that subtle, plumped effect—as people say about the perfect lipstick, it should be like your lips, but better. However, that doesn't mean you have to go with a light look if you don't feel that's what you want out of the procedure. Each shade is customized to match your lip colour, and what you want. I work with yourself to create your perfect custom shade.

How long does it last?

Lip tint can last for up to two years without any retouching. If you don't like the shade that was chosen for you, it can be adjusted after the healing process (which takes about five to ten days) is over.

Is there any pain?

A topical numbing cream is applied, so you'll feel only a light stippling sensation as the pigment is applied. As the treatment is continued  added topical numbing is applied throughout. I am professional and consistent , ensuring you feel at ease during the treatment.

How long does lip blushing take?

A lip tattoo session takes about 2 -3 hours. This can depend on lip size and definition or correction required.

How long does it take for lip tint tattooing to heal?

It takes around 5 to 10 days for the lips heal after a lip blushing procedure. Be aware that the color will vary quite a lot during the healing process before reaching the final color that you agreed upon.

Aftercare is important for lip tattooing, and I cannot stress this enough! They will heal quickly and with ease by using the aftercare balm provided - I use an all natural, vegan product. Apply this like lip balm with a cotton tip hourly and they will stay nourished and look glossy too.
