The Procedure - What is MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a form of tattooing. It's a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure using a specialist hand held tool which holds disposable micro-blades. The pigment is implanted into the superficial dermis which allows me to create crisp, soft and natural-looking hair strokes.

Just Peachy Brows owner and specialist, Peaches Graham, will begin the procedure by using a face mapping technique. We will first study the shape of your brows and the design will be made to compliment your facial features. Our brow expert will use a microblading pen to draw individual strokes on your brows to mimic natural hair.
We use only the best pigments that are available in the market. We also guarantee there are absolutely no after-effects or swelling post procedure. You will be ready to take your first selfie!

If you suffer from hair loss or alopecia you may end up losing significant amount of eyebrow hair. Given that some individuals suffer from skin disease or even cancer, lack of hair growth is visible in these cases. The Feathered Brows treatment will give your brows the perfect shape and the good news is no one would know you’ve had the procedure done.

Feathered brows does not smear or smudge off. Women can enjoy vigorous physical activities without worrying about their brows getting out of shape. Regular eyebrow makeup wouldn’t make it through a hot and sweaty session of Yoga, for instance. Feathered Brows, will still be on point despite a heavy training session.

The pigment used in Feathered Brows is high quality, and will not change colour. It is specifically made to retain its colour, and at most you may just need a touch-up session.

Who is suitable for Microblading?

You must be 18 years of age or over.  You must not be on medication for acne (Accutane). If you have previously taken Accutane you must have stopped taking this medication for 12 months prior to a micro blading session. Under no circumstances should you have this treatment if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, have type 1 or 2 diabetes/chemotherapy/radiation/cancer. If you have any allergies/disorders/disabilities, please let me know upon enquiry. If you have had your brows tattooed/microbladed before, they must have been done at least 1 year prior to your booking & they must have significantly faded.

Does it Hurt?

The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable, but  bearable. You may use your own numbing cream but I would advise against this as it can affact the colour retention. Red heads, blondes and fair skin types may experience more swelling and redness than darker skin types.

How much does it cost?

The Feathered Brows (Microblading) cost is £255.00. This includes a full consultation, initial procedure, thorough after care advice. A 6-8 Week re-touch is needed with is an additional £40.00. I recommend having a tint/wax one week prior or on day of patch test as this will tidy your brows ready for the Microblading. Tinting and waxing is £15.00. If you get your brows waxed or tinted, get this done 1 week before the procedure. It is also recommended to wait at least 30 days to have them tinted/waxed after the procedure.

Pre-procedure Advice

Avoid any activity that will cause you to sweat on the day of your treatment. Do no take aspirin, fish oil, coudamin, vitamin E or ibuprofen 48-72 hours prior before unless medically advised. Paracetamol is fine. You have to have stopped taking acne medication (Accutane) for one year - no exceptions. Avoid caffeine/alcohol the day before and after your treatment. Smoking will cause the pigment to prematurely fade and your anaesthetics you apply will not last as long. You are responsible for maintaining your appointments.

Do not have tan/sunburn on your face on the day of your treatment. NO SUN 30 days prior and post treatment (re-touch also). If you arrive at your appointment with a tan/sunburn you will be required to reschedule and your deposit will be forfeited. I reserve the right to apply my own discretion if I feel that pre-procedure advice has not been followed.

After Care

30 minutes after your treatment please wash the treated area with cool, boiled water using clean cotton pads to remove any blood/lymphatic fluid from the treated area. Repeat this 2 more times leaving 2 hourly intervals in between. Then dry heal for the next 13 days. If you accidentally get the area wet use a dry tissue and pat gently. On day 3-4 if you feel they are very dry you may use a small amount of Bepanthen (nappy rash cream) but please don't over moisturise them.

Only touch the area with clean hands during the healing process. Any scabbing or flaking will naturally shed. Some
itching is normal, but please don't pick, peel or scratch the treated area as the colour may heal unevenly and you will risk scarring and infection.

Do NOT apply any creams or makeup on your brows for 2 weeks after your treatment. You can get your brows wet after 2 weeks from your initial treatment, but only if all of the scabs have disappeared. Your aftercare procedure is just as important
as your initial treatment. Absolutely NO exercise, swimming, sunbathing, sun beds, saunas, direct shower spray, water or makeup should be applied in the area during the healing period. (14 days after treatment) Avoid sleeping on your face 2 weeks after the treatment.
No swimming until the area has completely healed. It is recommended to apply some vaseline to your brows when swimming after healing to protect the colour and stop chlorine/salt water from entering.

 RESULTS

There are many factors that can affect the result of your microblading treatment. The main factor is the aftercare. The better you look after your Feathered Brows (Microblading) the longer they will last. Our skin changes as we age so eventually the permanent makeup will look more powdered. This happens will all SPM procedures. Hair strokes will appear crisp and bold at first, but will soften up in appearance as the tissue heals. The area will shed, taking some colour. This is normal. The brows will start to oxidise and darken over the 1st month. It is common to have some areas fading more than others. This is part of the healing process and will be treated at the recommended
re-touch appointment.

Skin type is also another factor that can affect the result. If you have oily skin, your results will look softer and more powdered instead of crisp strokes. If you have dark skin, please be aware your SPM will not appear as bold as lighter skin types. Red heads, blondes and fair skin types may experience more fading than darker skin types.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have had your brows microbladed before, it can take 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired result. This is beacuse the scar tissue that has formed in the brow area will need additional procedures and fees will apply.
