Tattoo Eyeliner FAQs - Everything You Need to Know Before Your Appointment

How long does a permanent eyeliner appointment take?

A typical semi-permanent eyeliner appointment lasts around two hours. This includes a detailed consultation of approximately 15 minutes at the beginning to discuss your preferences and desired outcome.

What does the procedure involve?

Once the colour, shape, and thickness of the eyeliner have been agreed upon, the pigment is carefully implanted into the skin along the lash line.

During the procedure, your eyes will remain closed, and the eyelids will be gently held in place to minimise movement and ensure precision. If your eyes tend to water, this is completely normal and will not impact the results.

Is the treatment painful?

Most clients report minimal discomfort. A topical numbing solution is applied before the procedure begins and is topped up throughout to maintain comfort.

How long will the results last?

The longevity of your eyeliner tattoo can vary. While many clients see results lasting around one year, the pigment can remain visible for up to two to three years. As the colour naturally fades over time, touch-up sessions are usually recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain the desired look.

Can I return to work after the procedure?

This is a personal decision. Some clients experience mild swelling or redness around the eyes, similar to the appearance of having recently cried. This typically settles within 24 hours. If you're comfortable, you can return to normal activities straight away.

Is aftercare provided?

Yes, aftercare is included with your treatment. You’ll receive full guidance along with recommended aftercare products. A complimentary touch-up appointment is also included to perfect the result. Additional aftercare advice is available on our eyeliner treatment page.
